I've been using this Samsung Odyssey G8 monitor for both work during the day and gaming at night. Testing out the Dual Mode while playing Call of Duty made fast motion feel super fluid compared to my older setup, which made tracking moving targets a lot easier. Text looks super clean when I have two windows side-by-side for work, and the menu button underneath is easy to navigate when adjusting screen settings. Overall, it’s been a really nice addition to my setup.

I've been using this monitor for two weeks now, and here are my thoughts so far. I use one computer for both work and personal use, switching between two Windows installations at boot, so I needed a monitor that could handle both roles well. For work, I spend a lot of time in remote access sessions, and the 6K resolution is a game changer: I can keep a remote desktop in a small window and still read every bit of text on it clearly. That alone has made my workflow noticeably better. On the personal side, I switch between the high-resolution mode for photo editing and media consumption and the high-refresh mode for gaming, and the transition is completely seamless. The matte, non-reflective panel is also a pleasure to look at, and since it's IPS rather than OLED, burn-in is one thing I never have to think about.

I came from a 32-inch curved monitor and didn’t expect to notice this much of a difference. The colors look way better, blacks look noticeably better, and everything just looks sharper. I did prefer the curved screen at first, but I’ve gotten used to the flat screen pretty quickly. Gaming is where I’ve noticed the biggest difference. I’ve played Modern Warfare since 2019 and Fortnite since Season 2, so I know both games really well. Even on an older game like 2019 Modern Warfare I can notice a difference in the graphics and reaction time. I’ve been playing the new Black Ops too and noticed the same thing. Fortnite is probably where the difference is most noticeable though, especially with timing. Before, I sometimes felt like other players were seeing me before I could see them. Now I feel like it’s almost the opposite. Everything feels quicker and more responsive. Overall I’m really happy with it. The picture quality is a big upgrade from my old monitor and gaming just feels better on it.

The quality is outstanding! The download speed is the fastest ive ever had! Playing my games 🎮 are a whole new experience, I hook up my monitor to my tv so I play my Playstation or Xbox or Nintendo on my screen. Just exceptional 👌 👏 I dont give many 5 start reviews but this deserves 6. 👏 👏

I was initially shocked at just how big a 32” monitor is coming from my older 23” screen. That said, I really appreciate being able to have my email open next to my web browser at the same time with room to spare. I know this monitor says it’s 6K, but personally I don’t know that I could tell you the technical difference between 4K and 6K. What I can say is that everything is very bright and clear, and I don’t have to strain to read things. When viewing family photos, all of the pictures are bright, colorful, and much more vibrant than I am used to. My mouse also seems to track across the screen much smoother than before, with no blurriness or trail when moving it quickly. I appreciate that even with overhead lamps on, I don’t see distracting reflections on the screen. I know this monitor is advertised as having gaming capabilities. At first I wasn’t sure I made the right decision because I don’t game, but for everyday use this monitor has been excellent. It’s very clear, bright, smooth, big, and easy to use . I’m very happy with it.

I’ve been using the Odyssey G8 for both work and gaming, and it has been a great all-around monitor. While it excelled serving as a second monitor for my laptop, I mainly use it for gaming. The stand is very stable, though it is a deep pad, vs a leg configuration of my last one; make sure your keyboard fits how you will expect. Gaming: where this monitor really stands out. I can use the higher resolution when I want the best picture, or switch to Dual Mode and run up to 330Hz at 3K for smoother gameplay OR if my GPU doesn't have enough horsepower on the AAA titles. I’ve been playing Roblox, Halo and Borderlands 4 on it and it looks great...the large screen and high refresh rate making everything feel very smooth. For work: the 32-inch 6K display gives me a huge amount of workspace. At 120Hz, Windows feels smooth, especially while scrolling and moving between windows. The connectivity is easy and the picture is excellent too. Colors look natural, HDR makes everything bright and sharp, and the anti-reflective screen does a good job without making the picture look grainy. The LED ring on the back is what you'd expect and it is easy to control in the menu. Overall, the Odyssey G8 gives me a very sharp display for work, great HDR and colors, and excellent gaming performance. It’s a really good choice if you want one monitor that can do both.

I've been using this monitor for a little while now, and I'm really happy with it. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was how solid and well-built it felt. I ended up mounting it on my monitor arm, and it looks great on my desk. The picture quality is what impressed me the most. Games look sharp, colors pop, and everything just feels more alive compared to my previous monitor. I mostly play fast-paced fps games like arc raiders, halo. Valorant and the high refresh rate makes a noticeable difference. Movement looks smoother, aiming feels more responsive, and overall gameplay is more competitive. G-Sync, and it has worked flawlessly with my RTX 4090. I haven't experienced any screen tearing, and everything runs very smoothly. The on-screen menu is easy to use, and there are plenty of settings to adjust the image the way i like it. This monitor has been one of the best upgrades I've made to my gaming setup. Whether I'm gaming, watching videos, or just browsing the web, the experience has been excellent. If you're looking for a high-performance gaming monitor with great image quality and smooth gameplay, this one is definitely worth considering.

I’m thrilled with the Odyssey G8 G80HS 6K 32” monitor. It perfectly aligns with my lifestyle and requirements. The monitor arrived in a robust box, which is crucial since it ships in its own box instead of being packed inside another one. The monitor was meticulously protected with foam padding. Beneath the monitor, I found the stand in two parts: the power brick and a bag containing the power and monitor cords. It also included a quick start guide and a small manual. The only significant consideration is the power/mains cable, which is 90 degrees. You may need to adjust your power setup accordingly. I connected the included cable to my gaming machine and was delighted to find no dead pixels. The monitor’s brightness is satisfactory, and I managed to achieve 6K resolution at 165Hz, which I’m quite pleased with. The image quality is truly impressive. I also intended to use this monitor as a productivity monitor for my Mac Mini Pro. I successfully connected it using a Thunderbolt to DisplayPort adapter. While I could achieve 6k resolution, the highest refresh rate I could get was 120Hz. Nevertheless, this monitor still looks great for productivity tasks. This monitor is versatile and suitable for both gaming and work. It offers all the necessary inputs. The stand is user-friendly, and the feed-through hole accommodated all my cords. If I had to point out a minor drawback, the menu button is located in an unusual position. It’s positioned at the back and slightly above, which I find inconvenient. However, considering that you may rarely use the menu button, I can live with this. Overall, it’s an excellent monitor, and I look forward to using it. Totally deserves 5 stars!

This monitor is a productivity workhorse by day and a gaming machine by night. I has dual inputs so that I can have two computers connected and switch between them easily. When hooked up to my laptop, it gives me a large 32” 6K useable desktop. Unfortunately, my eyes aren’t quite up to that challenge and all that space! I typically run it at 3K for my daily work which gives me a great compromise of usable desktop space while keeping everything large enough and comfortable to read. When running at 120Hz all of the OS animations and transitions are buttery smooth. My Laptop automatically detected the right color profile and to be honest, it looks every bit as good to me as the built-in high-definition LED display. With the HDR setting enabled everything comes across as very crisp, bright, and sharp. The Screen itself is anti-reflective and thankfully doesn't have any grainy or overly matte coating that distorts the image on some monitors. The colors are vibrant and not oversaturated. I find images and documents look rich and color accurate. I like the built in USB hub as well. It prevents another item from having to add clutter. Switching to gaming is where this monitor really stands out. I no longe have to choose between a high-resolution productivity focused monitor and a high-refresh gaming monitor. I can run high resolution when image quality is important or switch to Dual Mode running up to 330Hz at 3K when response times matter. Having both in one monitor is a unique feature and saves me either sacrificing one, or spending money on two. My one gripe is the lack of USB-C/Thunderbolt connectivity. I prefer that direct USB-C connection for my laptop but i had a spare USB-C-to-DisplayPort cables have worked perfectly so it hasn't been too big of an issue. I found the included stand to be pretty nice. It is sturdy, adjustable and like that it can rotate the big 32" monitor 90 degrees for vertical use. I use and prefer a monitor arm to save desk space and for easy repositioning. Overall, the Odyssey G8 gives me an extremely crisp 6K picture, bright HDR image quality, excellent color reproduction and a huge desktop along with gaming refresh rates. It’s the most well rounded 6K monitors I’ve found for someone who wants who takes both their productivity and gaming seriously.

This screen is quite possibly the worst tech purchase I've made in the past 10 years. Its a screen that seems to tick all the boxes on paper, but in the end ticks nothing. I have two machines I use: - Mac M4 MAX - PC with 5090, 192gb ram, 4tb SSD, etc My use of these machines is ~90% productivity and 10% gaming. I was attracted to this screen due to the promising stats for productivity. Lots of real-estate, a high refresh rate, and no oled burn-in risks. I like the feel of high refresh rate screens for productivity because they make the machine feel more enjoyable to work on. I won't bore you with a review that tells you things you already know, I'll cut to the chase: 1. The brightness on the screen is incredibly underwhelming for such a flagship product. I knew the number was a bit on the lower-side compared to proper productivity monitors, but I wasn't prepared for just how bad it was. I have to crank the brightness all the way up for the screen to even be remotely usable, even then I have to learn forward and have the screen fairly close to properly be able to see things. Compared to another productivity-oriented screen I have - this one literally appears to be at half brightness. Its really bad. 2. When put into dual-mode for 330hz, the screen looks like absolute garbage. You don't have proper integer scaling, which I knew going into the purchase - but again I wasn't prepared for just how bad it was going to be, everything is so incredibly fuzzy and soft. On paper "3k at 330hz" - but actually it looks less sharp than another 1080p gaming monitor I have, and this isn't an exaggeration, my 1080p gaming screen (a Zowie/BenQ from 2019) genuinely looks sharper and better than this when its in dual-mode. So the whole selling point of dual-mode and very high 330hz refresh rate is just something they wanted to put on the marketing - to attract more suckers to buy this, but in this mode the screen is genuinely unusable, it looks really horrible. 3. If you are looking to use this as a productivity screen on Mac then forget about it, even my fully specced out M4 MAX is unable to drive this at 6k @ 165hz - Its only able to get 120hz and only properly when there isn't any other screen connected. When I connect any of my other sidecar portrait screens as additional monitors - I can only drive this at 60hz, so whats the point of it? You're buying this for the high refresh rate right, but you won't actually be able to achieve it in a proper productive setup. 4. To top things off, my screen had a prominent dead pixel near the centre of the screen - and reading various forums it seems heaps of people are having this arrive with dead pixels. Where is Samsung's QA process, how can so many people be receiving high end panels like this with dead pixels? To top things off even more, I now need to personally take this big screen a 45-60 minute drive to a repair centre to be assessed and repaired, and I have to do this during business hours, so I'm being massively inconvenienced for Samsung's lack of QA processes. Honestly - for something that is priced and advertised as a real flagship product, this is hyper concerning about the direction of Samsung in general. How can your flagship device be so incredibly flawed?
