It is bright, sharp and the big inner screen makes watching videos and doing work much more enjoyable. Battery life has also been better than I expected. With normal daily use, I can get through most of the day without worrying about charging.Performance feels very smooth too, even when I have several apps open at the same time. I was a little unsure about the Hinge at first, but it feels strong and well made. The phone also feels more solid than I expected, which gives me confidence about Durability for everyday use. There is a small learning curve because it is different from a normal phone, but after using it for a few days, I got used to it quickly. Overall, it feels like a premium phone that is actually useful.

This is definitely one of my favourite things about the phone. I also absolutely love being able to use the screen when the phone is folded. Now I have to use my phone at work I was over the moon when they brought out the flip phone. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

I have been heavily debating getting this phone for monthsss and would constantly watch videos and reviews of other Z flips and Samsung phones. After using it for about 2 weeks now, its my favorite phone I have ever had as it's so easy to use, navigate, and takes great photos. I absolutely do not regret it!

The Z Flip5 was the first one I owned, and I hadn't upgraded until now. This new model is much thinner and a little wider. It's an obvious improvement over three generations, so it feels great and is noticeably faster. The battery lasts much longer, which is very important to me because I use my phone for work. The camera is also an improvement, although I wish it were as good as the Galaxy Note's. Still, the compact size is what matters most to me. Cover display also got much bigger and resolution is really good. Before I only use it for check time or notification but now I can actually do more thing on it. One more thing, when I take photo using cover screen (for selfie with main camera), the preview looks more clear and sharp than Flip6. I don't know why but it just look better quality now. Overall I'm happy I upgrade

Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. Just a normal person reporting. This phone isn't better out of the box, in my case you have to go to the provider website for the esim which disjoints you from the set up. There is no discernable upgrade for this phone that i can tell. In fact, the color feels matte and not shiny. Everything feels like a downgrade aestheticly. I am not techie so saying how it is perceived. It's about the same size and depth. No real changes with waterproofing or dustproofing. Same camera as far as I can tell. Not impressed. If you don't need a new one, don't buy it. If you are like me and need a flip phone, I'm considering Motorola. Which is exactly what I think Samsung wants.

Battery life is the biggest change: my Fold 5 would barely make it through a full day, and I was always hunting for a charger by evening. The Fold 8 Ultra actually holds up. The hinge is noticeably smoother, and the main screen crease is much better than the Fold 5's, still visible if you're looking for it, but a real improvement. Responsiveness is a smaller difference, but it's there; everything just feels a touch snappier day to day. The thing I like most, though, is the wider cover screen. On the Fold 5, typing out a quick WhatsApp reply on the outside screen felt cramped, so I'd end up unfolding the phone way more than I should've just to reply to something simple. The Fold 8 Ultra's wider cover screen makes typing and quick replies feel natural without opening it, a small change that makes a real difference day to day. I've only had the 8 Ultra a week, so I can't speak to long-term durability first-hand yet. But I had my Fold 5 since launch with zero issues, so if the 8 Ultra holds up anywhere near as well, I'll be more than happy.
This phone is awesome for my videos, the new design really allowed me to put in pocket easier as well. Easily long hours usage, bigger battery and longer usage time.

I hope that not long will samsung improve it but I really like these phones so I bought it soft and the software at the highest level as to the quality of the screen is good but it could have been better. I also have a samsung s 26 ultra and I have the impression that the screen there is a little better so not exactly samsung tried Ala despite the weak minuses samsung zfold 8 ultra is a great phone and good refined and I am very pleased with it, there is a big improvement in terms of the previous generation and this is very cool

When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. The Vodafone store even told me I was the first person to pick one up from them, which was pretty cool! The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, especially when multitasking. The camera has been a big improvement and takes great photos and videos. The crease is also much less noticeable. I’ve also been impressed with the AI capabilities. There are plenty of useful features that actually make everyday tasks easier rather than just feeling like a gimmick. I’m very happy with the upgrade, I've had the fold 1, 2, 5 and now the 8 ultra. I love flip because it fits in all my small purses and my pocket in my scrubs. I have noticed a much faster processing capacity and smoother opening from beinf closed. This is my 4th Z Flip the size is perfect for pockets, the main screen is protected by the clam fold it's lighter, the hinge is smoother, the "crease" is almost non existent! Colours are better this year too. Linked to all my other devices seamlessly especially my Mini! Battery also lasting longer, always use battery protection so never charge beyond 85% you can now choose your protection level also. Much more responsive and love the prompt features and AI spam alerts. It feels slimmer but still durable and substantial. You won't be disappointed!

Even when I'm working, I can slightly flip the phone and keep it for video mode on without having to rely on anything else. My hands don't get tired of holding the phone. Plus Z flip 8 has some a cute feature of choosing multiple pictures for the lock screen, which helps me put pictures of my loved ones and reminds me of them whenever I look at my phone. The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. My favourite colour anyway, so it was a no brainer!

Watching YouTube videos on a larger screen and playing a few mobile games on the big screen also helps with eye strains. However, as a nitpick, I do wish the front screen was a bit bigger. I understand it would cost more, which means I will need to pay more, but I wouldn't mind it if I also get a decently bigger screen on the front. I upgraded from the S24 Ultra, so I still need to get used to the smaller screen and smaller keyboard. For a guy with big-ish hands, the small keyboard does annoy me a bit. But I guess that's a skill issue😆

Only negative so far is the media apps like netflix amazon and disney really need a update for a pinch to zoom function as it is small big widescreen bars or zoomed in to full screen and missing most of the sides there needs to be a nice inbetween screen please add this! I know the fold 8 has better viewing screen but as the flagship fold i feel this is missing. However so far everyone i show this phone too literally says wow when i unfold it!
