The battery is also great too, I mean, it works on how much you use it. The inside screen is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s and like a tablet in my pocket. I have no worries with the hinge or crease whatsoever. I AM IN LOVE!

Very good job Samsung! The Fold 8 was a great change after previously having an S25 and Flip 6... the crease is next to non existent, the display CLOSED and opened is beautiful. When getting this using the trade in I didn't think too much of it and wanted to give it a shot. I don't find that the lacking telephoto does too much on a day to day usage, and the other aspects of the Snapdragon and improved battery still make it a powerhouse. This phone feels like an ultra in terms of performance and storage (minus the cams), and still holds up as a foldable. Very pleased and excited. What I didn't think, would be the enjoyment of the cover or front screen. This screen is a perfect size for typing, using apps, just about anything, even though it's significantly shorter than the S25 and S25U that I have. Usability is fantastic and we will see how the durability holds up (looking good so far, and no hinge issues like my flip had!).

Loving the new fold 8. I've had the Galaxy fold 4, OnePlus open , Honor Magic V5 and Google Pixel Fold 10 Fold and this form factor has been the best thus far. To do a quick thing like a text message or check a quick email on the cover screen is very comfortable and when I want to open social media apps or watch something the large cover display is amazing to do this on. Love the faster charging as well!

I've wanted a folding phone for a long time, but the crease in the middle and their size put me off. With the Fold 8, that changed. The passport size of the device and titanium inner screen are just amazing! The clarity of both the outer and inner screens are amazing! Video, text and artwork are equally vivid and easy on the eyes. Magazines, graphic novels, and online content fit perfectly into the inner screen. I haven't been this impressed with a phone since the S23 Ultra cameras. I would recommend the Z Fold 8 to anyone wanting an amazing device that is a pleasure to use for pretty any reason.

Preordered the Z Fold8. Came from Samsung S25 Ultra. Love the form factor and especially the lightweight. Texting requires a bit of getting used to since the screen is smaller (but not an issue). Instagram requires an update as this new screen ratio form factor is ne. I'm sure this will be fixed in future updates. Other then that, it's a Samsung..reliable, fast and productive device. I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! Can't say enough about the form factor. Great purchase 10 out of 5 stars, I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size and shape of this phone is unique and this is definitely the best Fold phone to date. The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Fold 6 and thought moving to the Fold 7 was an evolution change, but moving to the Fold 8, wow! The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Samsung nailed it with the Fold8, the size, the hinge mechanism, the screen viewing ration when folded and unfolded, it is impressive and once you get used to it you can't go back to normal phones. Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? It exists. Price? Also exists. Worth it? Absolutely, if you enjoy premium technology and making financially questionable decisions. 10/10. Would fold again. 📱

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to shake things up a bit and ditch the traditional candy bar phone for a short and stubby passport style foldable. It's been 3 days and I'm loving all the tweaks and customization available in the new operating system I wish that the phone had different camera placement and included a telephoto lens. I miss the old version of the inner display's selfie camera. A tad intrusive and I don't see any use case. The speaker placement could also be better next iteration because it does not provide stereo sound when in landscape viewing on the inner screen. I wish it was $250 cheaper and I could say it was a good value, but it is a solid device.

Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model has been very good for my use in the couple weeks since it arrived. I like the passport aspect ratio and it's my new preference for phones. The unfolded screen paired with a small bluetooth keyboard work very well if I need to do any actual work without a pc at hand. However, as always, the inability to easily uninstall some of the software that comes by default is still deeply vexing. I greatly dislike that the bootloader cannot be unlocked and another firmware version installed, and the looming possibility of restricting androids side loading capabilities means that I will have to be watching every single update for a time when I will have to simply stop updating entirely to maintain the way I use my own haddware. The hinge is great, it closes nicely, and the accessories, a back case and magnetic stand, pair great with it. I am very happy with this phone's quality, and physical features, despite the lack of either an sd tray or a 3.5mm port, however the decisions of both the company and google make me actively concerned that I will have to explore other options when it comes time to replace this phone, and the reality is that that might mean simply changing paradigms to a dumb phone if android software and it's providers are no longer compatible with my needs.

I appreciate the dual functionality of this device, which effectively combines the features of both a phone and a tablet. However, the camera performance is merely average, which is not commensurate with its premium price point.

The passport type shape is really appealing to me and its been a dream to consume content on. The device is very responsive and I havent had any kind of slowdowns at all, everything is instant and smooth. The battery life is really good too! I like the new si-c battery, it lasts ages and I havent had any issues with it at all- plus it keeps the device sleek and thin. The device itself feels very sturdy, it's well made and I have no concerns of it breaking. The hinge feels very snappy and premium and I havent had any issues with it at all.

The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

I love the fact that the shorter slightly wider aspect ratio fits videos nearly perfectly even when folded. As an engineer myself I appreciate efficiency and the ergonomics combined with the aspect ratio is the best of all worlds. Whether it's scrolling on social media or watching a video it feels right. I've been switching back and forth between my old s24 ultra and this phone and the s24 ultra now feels too long. Definitely not for everyone but the fact that Samsung gives you the option is greatly appreciated. I do not see myself going back to a long slab phone.

I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. The overall design, weight, in-hand feel, and ergonomics are fantastic. Both the cover display and the unfolded main screen look amazing and offer an incredible viewing experience. ​If I had to point out a few minor drawbacks, the placement of the heat dissipation feels a bit noticeable during heavy use, and I occasionally experience slight stuttering on a few specific apps. However, these are minor details compared to how good the rest of the phone is. Overall, it is an outstanding device and I highly recommend it.

My annoyances are the comparisons between using a swift keyboard is Samsung keyboard. Swift is still better. Size of keyboard overlaps everything on the screen. Not a good experience. Need the ability to control rotation between vertical and landscape when using the outer screen. There are some apps which I don't want to rotate to landscape when the phone is closed. Would also be peace of mind to have a higher ip rating. Ip48 keeps me up at night and I would love not to have to use a chunky case to protect the phone.

Ive been using this phone for 2 weeks now and all i could say is i love every minute of it. Using it for work the big screen display helps a lot been doing multitasking and the phone never slowed down. Batteries are amazing. 70% can last me the whole day with 30% to spare. I like how solid it feels. And unfolding is quite smooth. Its been my main phone since i got it

The Z Fold 8 is the perfect marriage of the two, and I chose it to replace my everyday use of the Flip. Within the first day, it became clear I wasn't going back to the Flip, which surprised me. I rarely used the cover screen on the Flip, although I had all the tools to do so. With the Fold 8, I use the front screen a lot and don't feel the need to open it every time I use it. And critical factor is that it fits in my pocket, which was a downfall with the previous Folds - too cumbersome for carrying. All in all, it's pretty perfect and I'm glad I chose it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre ordered the Galaxy fold 8. I used it for around a week. The phone is great and the fold crease has diminished substantially. The screen quality was amazing and I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. I ended up returning it due to being worried of damaging it and being slightly paranoid about it not being dust resistant or having the inner screen get damaged accidentally. I say its almost there because it is "almost there." The phone is great but not having the best cameras is a big fault in a 1800 dollar phone. None the less I'm sure it will be a great phone for most people. The chose the Ultra 26 as a replacement and am more than happy!
