FAQ

Is installation free when I buy a Samsung air conditioner?Installation is not listed as an included benefit. The buying benefits shown on the Samsung Malaysia air conditioner range are free delivery when you check out with a Samsung Account, 0% interest instalments and warranty cover on product registration.
Delivery and installation are two different things, so free delivery does not mean the unit will be fitted for you.
Every wall-mounted split unit in the range, from the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro and Bespoke AI WindFree Deluxe to the S-Inverter and E-Inverter models, needs to be fitted by a qualified installer.
Check the individual product page before ordering to confirm what is included with that model. -
What deals can I get on a Samsung air conditioner?Buying direct from Samsung Malaysia comes with a set of benefits rather than one flat discount across the range.
These include free delivery when you check out with a Samsung Account, 0% interest instalments over extended monthly terms, and warranty cover once you register your product. Selected models also show a reduced price directly on the listing.
Benefits vary by model, so open the product page for the unit you want to see what currently applies. Terms and conditions apply. -
Can I pay for a WindFree air conditioner in monthly instalments?Yes. WindFree™ models on the Samsung Malaysia range, including the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro, Bespoke AI WindFree Deluxe and the WindFree™ Premium Plus and WindFree™ Deluxe wall-mounted units, can be bought on a monthly payment plan.
Samsung Malaysia offers 0% interest instalments over extended monthly terms on eligible online purchases, so you can spread the cost instead of paying everything upfront. The listing shows an indicative monthly amount alongside the full price.
The plans available to you appear at checkout and depend on the card or finance account you use. Approval is subject to the provider's criteria, and terms and conditions apply. -
Is there a 0% interest plan on Samsung air conditioners?Yes. Samsung Malaysia offers 0% interest instalments on eligible air conditioners bought online, with terms extending over a number of months.
The plans are provided through Samsung's banking and finance partners, so the options you see depend on the card or account you pay with, and a minimum spend can apply to longer terms.
You can review the plans available to you at checkout before confirming the order. Approval is subject to the provider's criteria, and terms and conditions apply. -
Where can I buy a Samsung air conditioner online in Malaysia? You can buy directly from the official Samsung Malaysia online store, where the air conditioner range is listed on one page.
There you can filter by product type, horsepower, energy efficiency and price, compare the Bespoke AI WindFree, S-Inverter, E-Inverter and WindFree™ models, and check each model's specifications before ordering. Buying direct also gives you access to free delivery, 0% interest instalments and warranty registration.
Models in stock can be added to your cart straight away, while others may be listed without an add-to-cart option if they are temporarily unavailable. -
How long is the compressor covered under warranty? The compressor is usually covered for a different length of time than the rest of the air conditioner, and the exact period depends on the model.
Compressor warranty is not listed on the main range page, so open the support or specifications section of the individual product page for the model you are considering. The Bespoke AI WindFree, S-Inverter, E-Inverter and WindFree™ units each have their own details.
Samsung Malaysia also asks you to register your product to confirm what is covered, so it is worth doing that once the unit is installed. -
What warranty comes with a Samsung air conditioner?Warranty cover in Malaysia depends on the model, and different parts of the system can be covered for different lengths of time. The indoor unit, outdoor unit and compressor may each have their own period.
Samsung Malaysia lists warranty as a buying benefit on the air conditioner range and asks you to register your product to find out what is covered, so check the details on the product page for the exact model rather than assuming one term applies to everything. Professional installation matters too, as warranty support generally depends on the system being installed correctly by a qualified installer. -
WindFree or a standard air conditioner: which suits everyday home use?For everyday use in a bedroom or living room, a WindFree™ model is usually the more comfortable choice. It spreads cool air through thousands of micro air holes so the room cools without a strong draught blowing directly at you, and WindFree™ mode also runs quietly.
The E-Inverter and S-Inverter wall-mounted units cool in the conventional way, pushing air out through the fan. They are a straightforward option if energy saving and cooling performance matter more to you than avoiding direct airflow.
Both types are wall-mounted and suit individual rooms, so the decision comes down to how sensitive you are to direct cold air and which features you want. -
Does an inverter air conditioner use less electricity?Generally yes. An inverter air conditioner adjusts the compressor speed to match what the room needs, so it uses electricity more efficiently.
A non-inverter unit runs at one fixed speed and keeps switching on and off to hold the temperature, drawing extra power at every restart. An inverter unit simply slows down once the room reaches your set temperature.
Samsung Malaysia's wall-mounted range includes inverter models such as the E-Inverter energy saving units and the S-Inverter AR50H with a 5 Star energy rating, and the range page lets you filter by energy efficiency so you can compare ratings before you choose. -
What size air conditioner do I need for a bedroom?Samsung Malaysia lists air conditioner capacity in horsepower rather than BTU. The 1.0 HP option sits in the smaller class often quoted as around 9,000 BTU, while 1.5 HP sits in the class usually quoted as around 12,000 BTU.
For a standard bedroom, 1.0 HP is normally the better value choice because it is less likely to be oversized. Step up to 1.5 HP if the bedroom is larger, gets strong afternoon sun, has poor insulation or opens into another space.
Most wall-mounted models, including the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro, Bespoke AI WindFree Deluxe, S-Inverter and E-Inverter, are available from 1.0 HP upwards, so you can match the size to the room. -
Which capacity should I choose for my room size?Samsung Malaysia rates its air conditioners in horsepower, and the wall-mounted range covers 1.0 HP, 1.5 HP, 2.0 HP and 2.5 HP.
As a general guide, 1.0 HP and 1.5 HP suit bedrooms and smaller rooms, while 2.0 HP and 2.5 HP are better matched to living rooms and larger spaces. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro, Bespoke AI WindFree Deluxe and S-Inverter AR50H are each offered across all four sizes, while the E-Inverter is listed as a 1.0 to 2.0 HP model and a separate 2.5 HP model. The WindFree™ Premium Plus and WindFree™ Deluxe are listed at 2.5 HP.
You can filter the range page by horsepower to see the options, but ceiling height, insulation and sunlight also affect sizing, so confirm with a qualified installer. -
Is a Samsung air conditioner quiet at night?WindFree™ models are designed for gentle, quiet cooling, which is useful overnight. In WindFree™ mode the air is released through thousands of micro air holes at a low speed rather than being pushed out in a strong stream, so there is less air friction and less noise than normal cooling.
Samsung measures noise levels in decibels under controlled anechoic conditions, so the figure on the product page is a like-for-like comparison point rather than what you will hear in your room. Sound levels vary by model and by the mode you run, so check the noise rating in the specifications on the product page if quiet operation matters to you. Installation position and room furnishings also affect how loud it feels. -
What types of Samsung air conditioner can I choose from? The Samsung Malaysia air conditioner range is built around wall-mounted split units, grouped into a few clear tiers.
At the top are the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro with 5 Motion Wind and the Bespoke AI WindFree Deluxe with fast and comfort cooling. The WindFree™ Premium Plus and WindFree™ Deluxe wall-mounted models with SmartThings also use WindFree™ cooling, while the S-Inverter AR50H with a 5 Star energy rating and the E-Inverter energy saving models cool in the conventional way.
You can compare all of them on the all air conditioners page and filter by product type, horsepower, energy efficiency and price. -
What is WindFree and how is it different from normal cooling? The difference is in how the cool air reaches you. A standard air conditioner blows a stream of air into the room, which cools quickly but can feel draughty if you are sitting in its path.
WindFree™ technology releases the air through thousands of micro air holes instead, spreading it more evenly so you feel far less direct wind while the room still cools. Because the air moves at a lower speed, it also runs more quietly.
Selected models add AI-based features that adjust cooling to the room conditions, plus SmartThings control. Features differ between models, so check the specifications on the product page. -
What should I check before ordering an air conditioner online?Start with capacity. The horsepower rating needs to suit the size, insulation and layout of the room, because an undersized unit has to work harder than it should.
Then decide which type suits you: a WindFree™ model if you want cooling without a direct draught, or an S-Inverter or E-Inverter unit if energy efficiency and straightforward cooling are the priority. On the product page, check the full specifications, the warranty details and the delivery and instalment options for that model.
Finally, arrange installation. It is not included in the product price, so booking a qualified installer before delivery helps you avoid delays.
