This is the phone I have been dreaming about. I've been wanting a book style foldable for a very long time and this is almost perfect. It does get hot out in the sun with the full brightness but I think after a software update it would be good. I didn't think I would love it as much as I do.

Loving the new fold 8. I've had the Galaxy fold 4, OnePlus open , Honor Magic V5 and Google Pixel Fold 10 Fold and this form factor has been the best thus far. The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

Absolutely fantastic phone. The Z Fold 8 folds, unfolds, and occasionally reminds me that apparently my bank account is also capable of folding. The screen is gorgeous, the performance is ridiculously smooth, and multitasking is so good that I can now procrastinate on three apps simultaneously. Build quality feels premium, cameras are great, and the whole phone screams “I have my life together” which is impressive considering I bought it mainly to show people that it folds. Battery life? The Display is fantastic and extremely clear. The Hinge in the fold is very strong but not to stiff and is easy to open. I have my Battery set to 80 percent but everyday use, it doesn't drop below 50 percent, which is miles better than my S24. This isn't a Flimsy phone, it's quite robust and feels very strong in your hand. Searching through apps, it's really quick and very responsive and you can have multiple pages and apps open at the same time. This is a great upgrade from my S24, glad I got one. You won't be disappointed 😉

You get the best of both worlds – a regular phone on the outside and a tablet inside! When my S23 started slowing down and the battery was dying fast, I knew it was time for a Fold. I knew the Fold 8 was coming out, so I waited and watched prices for both the new one and the Fold 7. After snagging a sweet deal on the Fold 8, it was a no-brainer. This phone is everything I hoped for and more. It's super fast, holds a charge forever, and the inner display crease is barely there – you actually forget you have a tablet that folds in half! Seriously great, no regrets.

My annoyances are the comparisons between using a swift keyboard is Samsung keyboard. Swift is still better. Size of keyboard overlaps everything on the screen. Not a good experience. Need the ability to control rotation between vertical and landscape when using the outer screen. There are some apps which I don't want to rotate to landscape when the phone is closed. Would also be peace of mind to have a higher ip rating. Ip48 keeps me up at night and I would love not to have to use a chunky case to protect the phone.

The design is also very practical because it is still compact enough when folded. The only downside I have noticed so far is that when using the front screen, some apps can be a bit slow to respond. Occasionally I have had to close the app and reopen it to make it work properly again. Hopefully this can be improved with future software updates. Apart from that, the phone is excellent and the big screen experience is really impressive.

However, in the end I opted for the Z Fold 8 because the form factor felt different. I am obsessed with how good this phone is to use just with the external screen and use that easily 80% but possibly 90% of the time. The battery is currently lasting me 2 days which is outstanding for such a small form factor. The foldable screen once opened is then truly something special. The phone is brilliantly responsive between screens and feels seamless. The camera is really only average when trying to zoom, but for normal photos of subjects nearby is perfectly acceptable.

I have been using this phone z fold 8, for about two weeks now and i'm in so much love with it. I traded my z flip 7 for this one. The best thing I love about this phone is the way I can read my books on this. Just makes everything easier. The amount of customization , this phone allows you to do, makes it much better. Goodluck app is your best friend. Be it brightness or lightning stuffs or notification customization or front screen or lock screen, you can do a lot more with this app. I love how different , it is when it comes to z flip. When I was using flip , I always used the hinge to take photos or talk in video call. I didn't need an extra tripod or anything else to hold. With fold I need like a pop socket or something to hold the phone.When I take pictures , especially if I wanted to use the previous screen. And regards to the sensitivity and responsiveness of the phone I have no complaints at all. And it's just amazing. Overall , I just love the phone and i'm happy with it. 😍🤩 Even though I loved my flip phone and I loved how it was so much compact and easy to take pictures with the back camera on the flex mode. I still feel like I love fold just as much as I loved flip phone. If not more. I do miss the flex mode of taking pictures , though. 😅
Been loving my Galaxy Flip since the first edition and upgrading it every year. Didn't expect to say this but after experiencing the Fold8 hands-on, it seems it's time to switch it up. Much slimmer and lighter than I expected, sitting super well in one hand. The real magic was unfolding it (unexpectedly I do appreciate that extra screen space) which made my little scroll through my favourite dog content so much better. Always loved how the Flex Mode on my Flip made every selfie session with my niece and dog so much more fun (and stable) by using the main camera and outside screen and now with the Fold8 camera... chef's kiss :)

I had questions about the camera but for standard photography, I really can't complain. I don't use a zoom lens so I don't miss the added camera in the Fold 8 Ultra. Superb all round device!

The single screen is sufficient for me to do a lot of work without needing to open the full screen size. Of course the double screen helps when working on my VM machine. Only flaw is that the single screen you are unable to control the viewing dimensions, so for reading and older people like me, this becomes a slight issue. Of course you can open the double screen and that would solve it. So small flaw in the UX. Regardless, I would still recommend the phone. Good speed, sharp and clear images and certainly feels robust enough to handle someone rough like me.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is an outstanding device. The larger, brighter display is perfect for multitasking, reading, and watching videos, while the phone still feels surprisingly slim and comfortable to hold. Performance is incredibly fast, the cameras take excellent photos, and the battery easily lasts through a full day of heavy use. The multitasking is next level, photos are amazing, and usability is brilliant. The Fold 4 had some battery problems after 2 years; that is why I upgraded to the Fold 6. The battery, durability, hinge and responsiveness of that phone were perfect for what I do. When I saw this new Z Fold 8 and its new format, it is perfect - it is the best of both worlds. The cover screen is now so usable, and the inside screen with the thinner body make it fit in my hand so easily.

Loved using this device. It's like a phone and tablet combo in the palm of your hand, available whenever you want. The processor is pretty smooth, but sometimes I have touch issues where the screen becomes unresponsive, but I feel it would be fixed with an update. Also, some of the apps are not fitting very well, zooming in on text when unfolded. I took a picture with the camera; I love the portrait mode on this.

The middle display is simply fantastic 👌 and I love the way the hinge snaps giving it a really high quality feel. The battery last for two days which is incredible and the whole devise feel so durable and well made. I have a three year contract and feel totally confident this device will last. The operating system is perfect and has amazing responsiveness. It truly is a joy to own and use. Love the large screen when I'm searching online and the front is great for everyday use. I would highly recommend this device

But, it is still lacking a few essential things, as it doesn't have magnetic wireless charging capability despite the fact it doesn't have a pen like the Ultra that apparently is the cause for not introducing this feature in the first place, it is not coming with a a screen protector for the external display as it used to, no ultra fast charger in the box as the old chargers are not ultra fast charging but barely 10-15 W, the battery doesn't last more than the previous models or any S models. Overall it is not worth the full price but if you can get a good discount then it is a good purchase.

For my experience very excellent for fold 8 dahil ang dali nya lang dalhin at ang ganda nyang panooran... grabe din yung design nakuha ni samsung yung talagang need ng mga client sa palagay ko dahil sulit yung mga features na meron to lalo na kung mahilg ka manood ng movie or mag basa dhil sa mga AI na meron sya mas mapapadala narin yung ginagawa mo. Dagdag pa dito meron silang bago yung Fan Cam for video editing na maenjoy mo lalo na kung my mga favorite Character kang gustong gusto mo panoorin... kht sa labas at loob ng bahay unstable yung viewing dahil mataas na brightness nito... for me is a good and nice.

I wasn't sure I would like this phone when I pre-ordered, my doubts were gone in the first hour it is so much fun, the camera is great and using it open makes it a lot better, battery lasts a long time, I love the finger print reader is on the side and not on the screen. If you are on the fence try it, you won't regret it. The hinges are great and no visible line on the screen when open. The speed is great and it is not as fragile as you think so I think it will last before I need to upgrade.

In pictures it looks sleek, but holding it in hand—feeling how slim, durable, and balanced the chassis is—proves why Samsung leads the foldable segment. The front screen on the fold8 is perfect for 90% of use. I do multitasking on once open and it does it perfectly with 2 apps open. Only gripe I have is on apps like instagram, it doesn't respond well with me hitting the bookmark button or other types of buttons on other apps where the function sits on the far right of the screen, I believe it's a glitch for the wider format for the front screen. I assume this can be fixed with an update 🙏 other than that - perfect device. Sturdy and feels great.

This phone is the best phone I have ever used. Display size and quality is amazing. When tablets were first introduced, it was completely a new device, a new tech.. This phone gives the same feeling. A completely new form of technology. Outer screen does all your daily tasks. Inner screens multitask ability is excellent. Samsung UI is also excellent. Fluidity is also amazing. Youtuber criticized the camera but it's actually good. Only two negatves I would say is relatively weak battery life and no S Pen support. Samsung better finds a solution to S Pen or any slim pen as this phone screams to get a pen support. Overall top top tier phone, feels completely different and unmatched.

Today is day 5 with the phone and I am absolutely loving it. Battery life has been fantastic and the size of phone is just perfect for getting most things done on the cover screen and accomplishing the rest on the inner screen. Having had the z fold 7 which was a good phone I can honestly say the "regular" 8 is even better and the perfect form factor for me. Cream colour is the best IMHO.. I have never had an issue with the crease so no comment on that. Screen display is bright enough even for outdoors in sunny weather. Oneui 9 flies so no complaints there. We will have to see how we do for durability going forward. The only complaint to date is the cost to own one of these phones.
